This position is responsible for gathering news leads, researching stories, shooting and editing video and audio files, covering and producing radio and online stories in English and Tok Pisin, and presenting news bulletins on-air.

This position will be assigned work and managed by the News Editor and News Director.

Key Requirements:

• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Tok Pisin
• Applicants must have a keen interest in news and sports, strong organizational and planning skills and excellent communication skills
• Be able to deliver based on strict news deadlines
• Must have: proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs
• Three (3) years relevant work experience would be an advantage
• Knowledge and application of Code of Ethics required
• Must have a working knowledge of video cameras, and audio recording devices is an advantage

• News Stories: Gathering News, leads, researching stories, covering major stories and events, producing radio and online stories in English and Tok Pisin
• News Presentation: Write stories for online and on air
• News Integrity: Responsible for dissemination of factual information according to the Media Code of Ethics and guidelines of the Media Council of PNG
